    Anales de Historia del Arte (ISSN 0214-6452, ISSN-e 1988-2491) is an annual scientific publication, published by the Department of History of Art of the Faculty of Geography and History.

    Anales de Historia del Arte intends, beginning in 2018, to publish the most current national and international scientific research and thought in the field of History of Art and Visual Culture covering a timeline that ranges from its origins to the present. This new period will offer researchers with a channel where they can share their theoretical reflections, in addition to providing a framework for viewing art within the context of the social challenges of today's world and where they can discuss, from an academic perspective, the issues of heritage conservation, gender debates, education on aesthetics and ethics as well as the major questions that the globalised world poses related to the new transcultural and cross-functional standpoints in the field of art and history.

  • Anales de Literatura Hispanoamericana

    Anales de Literatura Hispanoamericana (ISSN 0210-4547, ISSN-e 1988-2351) is an annual journal that publishes studies specialising in Spanish-American Literature. This journal is divided into several sections, with some focussing on a specific topic and other dealing with miscellaneous works. Every issue contains a section on Modernism an Spanish-American Literature from the end of the twentieth  known as the Ruben Dario Archive. Books are reviewed at the end of the publication. It is one of the few Spanish University journals that focusses exclusively on Spanish-American Literature.

    The journal Anales del Seminario de Historia de la Filosofía (ISSN 0211-2337, ISSN-e 1988-2564) is published every six months. It publishes research on issues of philosophical historiography and philosophical matters from Ancient times to the present day, focusing particularly on Spanish and Ibero-American thinking. It accepts original works in major Western languages and includes reviews and bibliographical notes on the latest books in the field of the history of philosophy.

    Área Abierta. Revista de comunicación audiovisual y publicitaria is a journal devoted to audiovisual communication and advertising. It accepts academic articles from the fields of photography, cinema, television, new media, audiovisual journalism and audiovisual advertising. In an attempt to be interdisciplinary, it considers technological, industrial, historical, social, aesthetic and cultural approaches. It is intended for communication researchers, professors and doctoral candidates. Área Abierta publishes original and unpublished blind peer-reviewed articles. It accepts texts in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

    Arte, Individuo y Sociedad (ISSN 1131-5598, ISSN-e 1988-2408) is a quarterly journal that publishes articles and research studies on the visual arts and how they relate to the social, historical, political and cultural context from different scientific fields, particularly creative and artistic education. In addition to scientific articles, bibliographical reviews are also included.

  • Botanica Complutensis

    Botanica Complutensis (ISSN 0214-4565, ISSN-e 1988-2874) is journal published once a year. Founded in 1968 by the Phytography lecturer Francisco Bellot Rodríguez, under the name Trabajos de Botánica y Fisiología Vegetal, with volume 14 (1989) it changed its name to Botanica Complutensis. It includes Botany articles in Spanish, and English mainly.

    The annual journal Arteterapia. Papeles de arteterapia y educación artística para la inclusión social (ISSN 1886-6190, ISSN-e 1988-8309) is a pioneering publication both in Spain and in Latin America featuring studies that tackle different aspects of art therapy (clinical, educational, social and cultural) and any fields seeking greater social inclusion through artistic media and artistic education. Consequently, it is intended for anyone from the fields of art, psychology, medicine, psycho-analysis, social education or plastic arts who are interested in artistic education as a means of human development and inclusion. Its dossiers look at emerging topics and new spaces where art is understood as a means of psycho-social development.

    CIC. Cuadernos de Información y Comunicación (ISSN 1135-7991, ISSN-e 1988-4001), an annual journal, is a publishing international project of the Department of Journalism and New Media and its divisions of Information Theory, Semiotics of Mass Communication and World's Structure of Information, at the Faculty of Information Sciences in Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. It aims to present the latest and most relevant global contributions in this field of knowledge to experts and the research community. Its contents include unpublished, cutting-edge research texts on world's communication and information, both recent and classic topics, as well as book reviews and translations. Its international focus can be seen in the number of contributions, subjects and authors from  communication and information international research  field.

  • Círculo de Lingüística Aplicada a la Comunicación

    Círculo de Lingüística Aplicada a la Comunicación (ISSN-e 1576-4737) aims at making knowledge about communication accessible in different languages, from the viewpoint of linguistic theory applied to real usage. Its four issues per year (February, May, September, November) include articles, reviews and information on journals and conferences.

  • Complutum

    Complutum (ISSN 1131-6993, ISSN-e 1988-2327), which was published annually up to issue 18 and biannually after that, was founded in 1991 by Professor Martín Almagro Gorbea. The publication disseminates high quality archaeological research to the national and international community in all fields, with a particular focus on the Prehistory of the Iberian Peninsula. It predominantly deals with theoretical, methodological and interdisciplinary works, in addition to summaries of new areas of research on reports concerning archaeological sites, museum collections or exceptional archaeological pieces. The journal accepts articles written from different theoretical positions and supports gender equality in the scientific field. One of the two annual volumes presents articles on a variety of topics whilst the other generally focuses on one topic, with one or several editors responsible for its content. Both also offer a review section and a scientific news.

  • Comunicación y Género [Communication and Gender]

    The main objective of the journal Comunicación y Género (ISSN-e 2605-1982) will be to disseminate research on this subject that is being carried out in different universities in different countries. The most recent studies on international communication include the gender perspective as an element of fundamental analysis to understand the impact of the media on social and political changes, as well as on the awareness and prevention of gender violence, one of the great scourges of contemporary democracies.

    Comunicación y Género (Communication and gender) will include research on journalism, advertising, institutional and business communication, audiovisual media and documentation, as well as studies on new technologies and other fields of experimental and social sciences linked to communication from an intersectionality perspective.

    Cuadernos de Documentación Multimedia (ISSN-e 1575-9733), published within the Department’s Multimedia Documentation Service/Library and Documentation Section, endeavours to be the leading journal on information and communication in the ICT field, as well as regarding research on multimedia information, related both to the media and how it adapts to other traditional documentary institutions. Research on management, processing, digitalisation, terminology checks, case studies, network information studies, multimedia documentary administrators, etc. are all topics covered by the CDM.

  • Con-Textos Kantianos. International Journal of Philosophy

    Con-Textos Kantianos aims at boosting the philological and critical research on Kant studies, considering also actual discussions on Kant's thought. That is the reason why its heading hints to contexts with texts. Kant shall be the main focus of the journal, which will tackle subjects such as Moral and Political Philosophy, History of Ideas, Philosophy of Right, Philosophy of History, Philosophy of Religion, Philosophy of Education, Aesthetics, Anthropology, Metaphysics and Epistemology, Human Rights, Social Policy, Theories of Justice and Cosmopolitanism. CTK aims at being an international and cosmopolitan inspired e-journal, where the Spanish language receives equal acknowledgement as English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese do. The main purposes of the journal are to enhance the development of a Kant scholarship network at the Latin American scale and to tighten the links between research groups already consolidated in different countries and languages. Re-founded by lecturers José S. Lasso de la Vega and Luis Gil Fernández, it welcomes Spanish and foreign scientific contributions and focusses on fields included within the concepts of Greek Philology and Indo-European Linguistics.

    Cuadernos de Filología Clásica. Estudios Latinos (ISSN 1131-9062, ISSN-e 1988-2343) is published by the Complutense University of Madrid Latin Department as a continuation of the former Cuadernos de Filología Clásica journal since 1991 and is divided into two sections: articles and reviews. It comes out every six months and accepts work in all languages admitted by the FIEC. Contributions fall within the area of Latin Philology and refer not only to the Language, Literature and Latin texts from the classical period, but also to its continuation and all production in the Latin language in later periods.

    Cuadernos de Historia Moderna [Journal of Modern History] (ISSN 0214-4018, ISSN-e 1988-2475) is a half-yearly scientific publication created in 1988, published by the Department of Modern History of the Faculty of Geography and History at the Complutense University of Madrid, specialising in the study of Spanish, European and International History in the Modern Era. An annual volume is published in two instalments, a monograph and one with miscellaneous material. It is open to contributions, preferably in Spanish, of original research that has been verified with a double-blind external review.     Cuadernos de Relaciones Laborales (ISSN 1131-8635, ISSN-e 1988-2572) is a six-monthly journal that publishes articles on matters related to work, employment and labour relations with a multidisciplinary approach that covers Sociology, Law, Anthropology, Philosophy, Economics and Psychology. It aims to disseminate original studies that combine a high academic level with a simple style. It deals with labour relations issues in a broad sense, including social transformations of work and employment, gender relations and social policies of all types.     Founded in March 2012 by Dr. José María Salvador-González, De Medio Aevo (ISSN-e: 2255-5889) is an biannual scientific journal published by the Research Group CAPIRE (Collective for the Pluridisciplinary Analysis of European Religious Iconography), attached to  the Complutense University of Madrid.

    The thematic focus of this journal covers ways of life, historical events, cultural processes, religion and beliefs, social structure and customs, mentality, artistic productions, systematizations of thought, science and technology, literary expressions in Latin, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, and medieval Romance languages, epigraphic and paleographic documents, or any other topic referring to the Middle Ages in any Western or Eastern region, culture, and society. De Medio Aevo is a multidisciplinary scientific journal and, as such, is aimed at recipients interested in the very diverse fields of knowledge above. Its sections are Monographic topic, Miscellany, and Reviews and Reports. The journal accepts Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese papers.

    De Medio Aevo does not charge fees for the article's submission and evaluation,  for its publication, the inclusion of color or black and white images, or for any other element required to complete the article publication process.

  • Eikón / Imago

    Eikón Imago (ISSN: 2254-8718) is an annual scientific journal (previously biannual) that operates under a Continuous Article Publication (CAP) model. The journal is edited by CAPIRE Research Group (Collective for the Pluridisciplinary Analysis of European Religious Iconography), attached to the Department of Art History of the Faculty of Geography and History of the Complutense University of Madrid. The research interest of this journal is focused on iconography and visual studies in a broad sense, with a thematic coverage that covers the forms and meanings of images from any time, culture or country, as well as any theoretical, methodological, thematic variant, typological or disciplinary (art, aesthetics, communication, anthropology, etc.). Since 2018, the journal has been structured in three sections: monographic (with articles on an established theme, diverse each year, and with a guest editor), several articles (on the main theme of the magazine) and reviews and chronicles (with brief comments of recent exhibitions and publications, especially from the Hispanic world).

    Estudios sobre el Mensaje Periodístico (Studies about the journalistic message) (ISSN 1134-1629, e-ISSN 1988-2696) is a scientific journal published quarterly. Its primary goal is to promote research on the expressive forms and social functions of journalism and communication. Articles are published in Spanish, but submissions in widely spoken languages such as English, French, and Portuguese are also accepted. EMP has three traditional sections: "Studies" (which appears only in thematic issues dedicated to particularly significant topics), "Research and Documents" (dedicated to works that align with the journal’s objectives), and "Reviews" (featuring critiques of works related to journalism or communication). The journal also publishes texts solicited by the Editorial Board from renowned authors (in the "EMP Essays" section), as well as interviews with key figures in journalism and communication academia (in the "EMP Dialogues" section).

    FORO. Revista de Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales, Nueva época (ISSN 1698-5583, ISSN-e 2255-5285) is a Complutense University of Madrid Law Faculty journal with the fundamental aim of acting as a way to disseminate legal research by promoting multidisciplinary information within the different branches of Law and by publishing current works that cover all legal fields. It is also characterised by the breadth and openness of its contents: on the one hand, because it is open to any Law professors, researchers and professionals wishing to publish their works; and on the other, because other disciplines of Social Sciences that can also be considered instrumental for studying and practicing Law will also be allowed.

    Geopolítica(s). Revista de estudios sobre espacio y poder (ISSN 2172-3958, ISSN-e 2172-7155), issued every six months, features original, unpublished articles, giving preference to work that makes a genuine theoretical or methodological contribution to the study of the relationship between space and power, particularly in Latin America and Iberian countries. Consequently, it will publish articles from several fields of research from Political Geography and the other Social Sciences insomuch that they develop a spatial analysis perspective. In addition, it advocates scientific pluralism, both in reference to fields of research in Political Geography and epistemological, methodological and technical perspectives. In this respect, the journal is indistinctly open to different theoretical perspectives and critical methodologies, without ruling out works from traditional geopolitics a priori and it encourages authors to write articles that assess the relative merits of different theoretical and methodological approaches to explain important empirical political phenomena.

    Gerión. Revista de Historia Antigua (ISSN 0213-0181, ISSN-e 1988-3080) was founded in 1983. Originally issued on an annual basis, since 2017 the journal edits two issues every year. It covers topics connected to the Ancient World, particularly from the point of view of Ancient History, but contributions from complementary disciplines such as Epigraphy, Archaeology or Philology are also welcome, as long as they present a historical approach.

    Historia y Comunicación Social (ISSN 1137-0734, ISSN-e 1988-3056) is a scientific journal which publishes research focused on contemporary communication and history, from a diachronic perspective.

    Founded in 1996, the journal is currently published biannually in electronic format. It includes articles about contemporary history, the history of ideas, the history of social communication, journalism and most importantly the history of the media.     Historia y Política (ISSN 1575-0361, ISSN-e 1989-063X) was created in 1999. This peer reviewed journal is published biannualy and is an initative of the Department of History of Thought and of Social and Political Movements (UCM) and the Department of Social History and History of Political Thought (UNED). Since 2007, the journal is co-directed and co-edited by Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales.

    The journal intends to tackle political phenomena throughout history from a rigorous academic perspective as well as from the interpretative renewal offered by tools like comparative analysis and the varios social sciences.

  • Iberian Journal of the History of Economic Thought

    Iberian Journal of the History of Economic Thought (IJHET) (ISSN-e 2386-5768) is an international digital journal that is published every six months, for discussion and debate on original research dealing with economic thinking and the history of economic ideas that is promoted by the Iberian Association of the History of Economic Thought (AIHPE). Its first issue came out in 2014. The peer-reviewed articles are published in English, Spanish or Portuguese. It also includes reviews of books on economic thought and contains the newsletter for the Iberian Association that has been disseminating information on publications, conferences and Hispanic-Portuguese teaching experiences in the History of Economic Thought since 2014.

The journal's focus is the intellectual space that begins with the Renaissance and lasts until the death of Hegel as the end of modern philosophy. The predominant lines of research include: humanism and Erasmism; the first modernity and the formation and structure of philosophical systems; the categories of Renaissance, Baroque and Enlightenment; modern political theory and political philosophy; Aristotelianism and late scholasticism; Spanish-American thinking from the period; and finally, the problems of methodology and hermeneutics in the field of the history of ideas, including a discussion on historiography categories in the field.

Madrygal admits research articles related to all areas of humanistic knowledge (philology, language, literature, history, philosophy, geography, sociology, art, anthropology, communication, documentation, digital humanities, etc.), with a theoretical, methodological or comparative approach, as long as they are focused or have an interest in the field of Galician studies. Madrygal is composed of several sections with academic-scientific contents (Articles, Notes, Chronicle, Interview and Reviews), whose articles are refereed by an internal and external evaluation committee.     Mirai. Estudios Japoneses [未来.日本研究紀要 (Mirai Nihon Kenkyū Kiyō)] (ISSN-e 2531-145X) is a journal from Complutense University of Madrid produced in collaboration with the Asociación de Estudios Japoneses en España (Spanish Association of Japanese Studies) that originates with an international inclination within the Ibero American context, being certain that the approaches and perspectives developed from this background will serve to complement the tradition of works produced by the Angloamerican school. In addition, the journal hopes to provide a location for the Spanish speaking scientific community to share its developments, wishing that it may serve to constitute a vehicle that will enable the creation of a network of relations through the exchange of research in a language with millions of users.
    In tis way, the journal intends to gather and in this way give more visibility to current investigations on Japanese Studies, which up to this day remain dispersed frequently .
    This type of publications will promote the development of new studies, as well as new perspectives and approaches.

It provides descriptions and analyses of the state of the art from an educational perspective that help to enrich knowledge in education.     Teknokultura (ISSN-e 1549-2230) covers the growing central role of technology within communication and social mobilisation contexts taking a critical view.     Sociology of Work is one of the main journals in Spanish that specifically addresses labor problems, with special attention to dialogue with other disciplines and ongoing social changes. Among the main topics are the forms of work organization, labor legislation, human resources, labor relations, qualifications or social history of work. It publishes empirical research results, theoretical papers, and multidisciplinary thematic issues. It is aimed at researchers, students and academics, but also at a broader audience, such as professionals, trade unionists, managers or political leaders.

    Talía: Revista de estudios teatrales (ISSN-e 2659-806X) is an academic journal published by the Instituto del Teatro de Madrid (ITEM) specialised in theatre studies that understands drama in its textual and scenic dimensions as much as a cultural custom. The publication encompasses theatre written in Spanish both in Spain and in Latin-American countries as well as the theatre produced in other languages that exist within these territories (Catalan, Basque, Galician, Quechua, Aymara, etc.), in addition to the drama developed outside this Hispanic context (for instance, the Hispanic theatre in USA). Talía is conceived, in this manner, as a scientific publication openly international focused on the study of Spanish theatre that aspires to become referential in its field. It is a publication edited in Madrid by Ediciones Complutense.
