A diachronic approach to translated Galician literature
Abstract
The main purpose of this article is to provide a panoramic view of the foreign diffusion of Galician literature in the form of translations throughout contemporary times. The aim is to highlight, with this work, the enormous quantitative difference in the number of versions between the current context and other historical stages. Regarding the present moment, several aspects that have a decisive influence on the transfer of Galician letters to other languages are still examined, such as opaque self-translation, recreating self-translation, the concept of prototypical version and indirect translation.
