The translation of Azorín's work in China: an analysis of La novia de Cervantes by Dai Wangshu, an indirect and relevant translation
Abstract
The translation work of Azorín has been widely analysed and reviewed in Europe context, but it attracts little attention in East Asia, in particular China. This work aims to study the translation work of Azorín in Mandarin Chinese, and analyse its style, especially through the indirect translation of La novia de Cervantes by Dai Wangshu in the 2013 version, and a comparative view provided by the direct translation of Zenghui Xu and Ruihua Fan (1988), and Yi Lin (2018). This paper also reflects what a relevant translation means in a Traductology perspective.
