Artistic proposals between University-School-Society: Evaluation of acquired transversal competences
Abstract
INTRODUCTION. The study of university students' learning processes usually includes controlled practice processes in real contexts, but only occasionally experiences in community contexts, focused on creative activities, as in the case reported here. OBJECTIVES. To find out the perception of transversal competences acquired, as well as to find out how knowledge of the environment improves, their critical capacity increases, their future teaching practice is empowered and a vision of art as a transformative tool is strengthened. METHOD. The study was based on a mixed methods approach, using quantitative and qualitative methodology. For reasons of space, the main quantitative results are reported here. This approach allows us to approach a holistic perspective, which is partially reported, while maintaining the broad focus of the contents reported in this article. The methodological strategy chosen to develop the research has been the case study, used in socio-educational research and, specifically, focused on a precarious area of the municipality. RESULTS. It can be highlighted that the two general objectives set out have been satisfactorily verified, showing how the experience developed through the programme has made it possible to experience significant activities involving different competences, playing a significant role in the learning process as educational staff.
