The satisfaction of being a teacher: a correlational type study
Abstract
The article aims to identify the relationship between teacher satisfaction and factors such as salary, personal growth, work environment, intrinsic value, and social recognition. The method used in the research was structural equations, where both the measurement model (items-construct relationship) and the structural model (the relationship between constructs) had to be evaluated. In total, 484 questionnaires were collected from higher education teachers in nine different cities within our country. The main finding of the study was, factors such as salary, intrinsic value, and social recognition have a positive correlation with teacher satisfaction in the performance of his work.
