Abstract

The free access to online information and the change in consumer preferences make us reconsider the future of the local press against the Internet and the large cross-media communication, information and entertainment corporations. The objective of this article, the research product of a Master's Degree in Administration, is to examine the bases of the value proposal of the newspaper La Crónica del Quindío, the most representative written communication medium of the department of Quindío-Colombia. The methodology used corresponds to a descriptive study, through a hypotheticodeductive process. Among the conclusions reached by the research, it was determined that it is necessary to reformulate the value proposition of the newspaper La Crónica del Quindío, creating a product tailored to the reader and
