Abstract

This research analyses the controversial story of “the tram girl” which divided the mass media and the audience in their way of focusing and perceiving it. The spaniard young boy's quest who is looking for a girl grabbed the most important media and arise varying responses from the society. Much of it understood this case like something very romantic, while the other saw it clearly a case of harassment. In order of understanding this media phenomenon, it is precised to analyse the components of the story, the mass-media focuses and the debate generated in social networks.
