Abstract

This research analyzes the Facebook accounts of the 70 dioceses that structure the Spanish Church. We analyzed the accounts of the Spanish dioceses through and analysis tool that includes the potential of influence, the degree of interaction and the engagement rate of followers with these profiles. In the less Catholic Spain in history the Spanish dioceses have managed to gather 45,000 people on Facebook to talk about religion and learn about news and its related activities, and about a third show a strong bond with his followers.
