Technology, activism, design and myth. Study of counter-cultural uses in relation to the digital media
Abstract
The use of digital technologies entails control structures imposed by their own design. Technological integration in society, as has been proposed, forces the adoption of patterns that limit the operativeness of users and, ultimately, generate a social control order. Considering this situation, various communities have emerged that seek to alter these impositions through the creation and search for alternative means.
