Institutional structure and informative poisoning: digital rights and political polarization in the Republic of Ecuador

Abstract

The aim of this text is to demonstrate how collective action is limited by actors with enough political capital to take advantage socially accepted discourse to their advantage. It is intended to show that the scene of the tools of Web 2.0, there is a risk that the action of interest groups may be limited by legitimized politically speeches, which results in a loss of citizen control of political power and a probable violation of human rights.
