Abstract

This interview with Germán Cano, specialist in social psychology and cultural narratives, allows us to explore the ideological and cultural background that is the center of debate in the current political cycle. As a member of the team which developed Podemos’ political guidelines, Germán Cano allows us to look into the interminable discourse and communication battle to gain space in the political arena. This Philosophy professor (UAH) reminds us that Podemos has managed to place “winning” political messages thanks to their unique reading of the current crisis, being conscious of how emotions and aesthetics are fundamental for the reconstruction of citizen subjectivity.
