The Art Teaching of Dramatic Art and its Internal Quality Assurance System
Abstract
Higher artistic education has been established in the Spanish educational system since the establishment of a legal framework comparable to that of the rest of Europe, which implies an increasing concern to develop suitable methods of quality assessment that respond to the interests emanated in that sense from the Bologna Process. After analyzing the state of drama studies in Spain, the evolution of its concept of quality and a comparative study with other countries of the European Space of Higher Education, we set the basis for the implementation of an Internal Quality Assurance System in this degree from the analysis of the pioneering experience of the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Castilla y León (Spain). The achievements reached and the deficiencies in the administrative infrastructure that are pending to be resolved are indicated.
