Abstract

This article shows the design and validation of a questionnaire for university teachers on the importance, knowledge, use, benefits and difficulties of introducing the smartphone in teaching, learning, research and evaluation processes, as well as its training needs. The method of analysis and validation of the psychometric properties of the diagnostic evaluation instrument "Smartphone and University. Lecturers’ view" is presented. In order to do do this, the content validity is analyzed with the Delphi technique; the construct validity through factor analysis of first and second order; and internal consistency is tested with the values Cronbach's alpha. It is confirmed that the questionnaire constitutes an instrument with evidence of validity and reliability that can diagnose, among university teachers, sub-dimensions of special relevance that allow to know the pedagogical possibilities of the smartphone in university.
