The Practicum of teaching in primary education: a retrospective look
Abstract
We present an investigation about the experience in the Practicum student teachers in primary education, according to the following objectives: if you meet to the contexts of the Schools and the classroom teaching in the proceedings, if the teaching methods used by the faculty tutor are innovative and are followed by the future teachers, and if they acquire new skills after completion of the Practicum. The procedure has been qualitative methodological, critical analysis and interpretive content -of the materials collected in 8 Schools and 43 classrooms, by 33 students from 2003 to 2010. The results do not fail to note that responds to the contexts, and that the teaching observed in the classroom and subsequently practiced by the students, with a few differences between the classrooms, is based on the use of the textbook, explanations, exercises and tests.
