Abstract

Nowadays, movie trailers have a crucial role in the film industry. Nevertheless, despite its omnipresence, there is no much theoretical work about these little movies. The aim of this paper is to locate movie trailers in the advertising and marketing world in general and to rigorously describe every type of trailers we can find within the advertising spectrum such as teaser trailers, theatrical trailers, clip trailers or behind the scenes trailers among others.
