Heroism and propaganda. The configuration of the heroic in the propaganda of the armed conflict in Colombia
Abstract
The objective of this work is to analyze the propaganda campaign Heroes in Colombia do exist, carried out by the Colombian Army since the middle of the first decade of the 21st century, from the perspective of Theory of the Story from Professor Jesús González Requena. This campaign aims to increase the level of popular support for the military institution, in the midst of the armed conflict in Colombia, elevating their membersat the category of heroes. If we consider that the figure of the hero is in herent to the symbolic stories, but isusually used as a persuasive resource in advertising and propaganda, here analyze what are the heroic characteristics that have the characters that the propaganda campaign presents as heroes.Downloads
