The video clip as commercial: Presence and Evolution of Product placement in the Music Video
Abstract
Music video is defined as an essentially advertising format. Therefore, this article analyzes the presence of product placement technique and its evolution since the beginning of the music video until now. The study was conducted on a sample of 32 music videos MTV’s awards recipients in the category of best video of the year. It is observed after studying the absence of such advertising marketing technique in the early years of development of the music video format and greater presence in the present, aware of the commercial value.Downloads
