From Informal to Formal Discourse: Translation of Online Tourism Promotional Texts from Spanish into Russian
Abstract
Due to a certain number of changes in the way we communicate and, especially, the tourism promotion is done due to SARS-CoV-1 virus, online communication for tourism promotion is particularly important. In this sense, the institutional portal spain.info stands out as a reference website for national tourism. Discursive genre of promotional texts in Spanish is characterized by the use of informal deixis, shortening the interpersonal distance with the target reader. However, this interpersonal distance in Russian is greater, which is expressed in the use of polite deixis. As a consequence, the interest of the present study lies in studying the linguistic features that have to do with the use of deixis and personal and impersonal forms in tourist discourse.
