Drama translation: texts to see, to hear… to feel
Abstract
Translation of dramatic texts brings up specific issues, previous even to the own act of translation, due to its double nature of literary text and performance script, which implies a double recipient: reader and spectator. The aim of this work is an approximation to the above mentioned questions, the relationship between text and spectacle and the cultural nature of the drama translation. It also proposes some translation strategies.
