Abstract

This work analyzes the 182 columns that Antonio Muñoz Molina wrote between 1993 and 1997 in the Spanish newspaper El País and that had the generic title of Travesías.. Because of his brilliant career as a narrator and a columnist, Muñoz Molina becomes an apt example to study the good health of Spanish column writing journalism. The analytical model studies the persuasive mechanism in depth. Thus the author is considered to be one of the most serious and respected columnists in Spain.
