Abstract

The political-cultural reality that Valencian radio television (RTVV) reflected in its last years of broadcasting was an ideological projection of the political project of the Popular party in its most explicit version. If there is a particularly extreme case, it is the treatment of the Metrovalencia accident of July 3, 2006. Through the comparative analysis between the treatment of the news in the daily programs of those dates of the Rtvv information services and the Interactive proposal of Barret films, the web documentary O responsable, we intend to bring out the basic strategies with the audiovisual discourse of the tragedy, its manipulative dimension and the repercussion of this information on civil society, are built in this particular case, as in culture, memory or politics.
