Tools for the Study of Social Media Journalism. The Framing Perspective and Critical Discourse Analysis of the Hashtags # The5Free, # Los5Libres and #TodosSomosAmericanos
Abstract
Due to the increase of participation more active and creative from @users in the new electronic journalism, or journalism of social media, publics and messages requires a major theoretical understanding and comprehension. Through a transdisciplinar perspective focuses on the text, its discursive organization and its semiotic-information content, the present research point out a new analysis tool, according the microblogging social network Twitter’s development. After the explanation of its methodological corpus, we examine this motion into a study of case from a simple of the hashtags #The5Free, #Los5Libres and #TodosSomosAmericanos. It takes place under the events occurred between United-States and Cuba on december 17, 2014, and we confirm this framework like a new way for studying news and trending topics.
