Spanish television channels on Internet: a study on the quality of their websites
Abstract
Television channels have been forced to adapt their work processes to the so called Digital Society, which is changing the relationship between mass media and their audiences. One of the consequences of these changes is that users want to feel increasingly participant. The aim of this study is to evaluate the degree of adaptation of the main Spanish TV channels to Web 2.0. The methodology we use consists of thirtytwo indicators, organized around seven parameters that try to evaluate the quality of their websites and their use of interactive tools. Results show that the use of the characteristics of Web 2.0; access to information and user registration are the most common parameters.Downloads
