Journals 2.0? Communication Area Spanish Academic Journals in Social Networking Sites
Abstract
This paper analyses the profiles of the academic journals indexed at the 2010 edition of Inrecs in the most popular social networking sites in Spain (Twitter and Facebook). Thus the presence of these publications in Social Media will be boarded. Simultaneously checking the popularity of these profiles, expressed in number of followers or fans is also checked. Through this study it is observed that, in general terms, the main journals of this field show a significant lack of interest towards the communication tool represented by social networking sites.Downloads
