Peer Review Process

The journal uses a double-blind peer review process, meaning that the author’s identity and reviewer’s identity are concealed from each other. In the case of articles accepted for publication, the reviews are also published, although the reviewer’s identity is not disclosed. Teknokultura's editorial process for the evaluation of manuscripts is as follows:

Internal revision process for paired review sections of the Journal:

  1. Confirmation that the manuscript has been correctly received.
  2. The editor/coordinator responsible for the relevant section of the journal effects a preliminary evaluation.
  3. Should the preliminary evaluation be positive the manuscript is sent to a minimum of 2 evaluators, both external to the editorial committee, but who may be members of the advisory committee.
  4. The editorial committee makes a final decision on publication in light of the evaluations of both the external evaluators and the section editor/coordinator. Should the editorial committee be unable to arrive at a decision regarding publication further evaluations may be petitioned.
