Dialogue of knowledge in the Field of Music of the Line of Professionalization of Artists with Recognized Trajectory in the Project Colombia Creativa
Abstract
The objective of this study is to establish the way in which the music area of the Line of Professionalization of Artists with Recognized Trajectory of the Project Colombia Creativa, developed a dialogue between the previous knowledge of the musicians who studied it and the academic tradition of the music education. To fulfill this objective, the dialogue of knowledge in music was analyzed from theoretical approaches that allowed delving into some of its dimensions and providing conceptual tools to design a guiding proposal on how similar professionalization projects can implement this dialogue. These approaches are grouped into three categories: appropriation of music, symmetry and justice as conditions for dialogue and, finally, popular knowledge and exclusion in Latin America. The research is qualitative and uses content analysis as a strategy. The sample selected covers the musical training programs of four universities that have implemented the Line of Professionalization of Artists: Universidad de Nariño, Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, Universidad del Atlántico and Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas.
Among the main conclusions of the research is, first, the need to more clearly support the epistemological foundations from which it is proposed to develop the dialogue of knowledge. It is also evident that part of the limitations in the implementation of dialogic spaces is associated with university institutional structures that have historically privileged, legitimized and hierarchized a single form of knowledge and, therefore, make it difficult to integrate knowledge that is developed outside the university. academy. For their part, the final recommendations are addressed to the different decision-making levels in artistic education processes at a higher level: Ministries of Culture and Education, Universities and classrooms.
