Qualitative analysis of the tutoring process of the Final Grade Work. The case of the Faculty of Education of Albacete
Abstract
The development of the Final Project (FP) has been a part of university education in Spain for a decade, and there exist research related to this subject. Most of the research tries to measure the level of satisfaction of the students in order to determine which factors affect that level of satisfaction. It has been validated, using opinion scales, that the tutoring process is one of the most influential factors, confirming previous research that point to the tutor-student relationship importance in the university education. It is, however, necessary to study the perceptions taking place in the tutoring process to be able to design improvement strategies. Qualitative research has been conducted through semi-structured interviews, using 20 cases from Faculty of Education of Albacete, and has allowed us to establish a relationship between analyzed perceptions and the students emotional level, which is the most relevant factor in the overall rating of the FP.
