Sobre la correlación de la forma y el color. Aplicación del cuestionario de Kandinsky (1923) a estudiantes universitarios de comunicación
Abstract
More than a hundred years after the publication of Concerning the Spiritual in Art and just in the first centenary of the Bauhaus, this study retrieves the questionnaire about the interrelation between colour and form of Vasili Kandinsky. This test has been applied to university students in the three communication degrees of the Media & Communication Science Faculty at the Complutense University of Madrid during the 2018-2019 academic year. A student body sensitive to the development of aesthetic ideas and visual culture but without specific training in colour theory. To this end, the Kandinsky questionnaire of 1923 was adapted to digital support and a sample of 357 people was included. The result of this study, in line with previous similar experiences, offers interrelations that differ significantly with those of Kandinsky. The results show some correspondences more influenced by the iconosphere of our current visual culture than by a specific artistic education or a deep knowledge about colour theory or design history.
