Subliminal advertising in electoral campaigns: between myth and reality
Abstract
During the last decades, the interest in subliminal advertising has been really significant in different scientific disciplines, although there is no consensus about its real influence. However, in the field of Political Communication there are very little references about this practice, even though over recent years there are some reports about cases of subliminal advertisements in electoral campaigns. In this article approach to the use of the subliminal methods in politics is proposed, in order to try to determine whether we are only facing a myth, as it has been said many times regarding this technique, or if we are in front of a reality.Downloads
