The trajectory of Pilar Vázquez Cuesta as a Portuguese translator
Abstract
The aim of this study is to present a panoramic view of Pilar Vázquez Cuesta’s work as a translator of texts of Portuguese and Brazilian authors. In addition, a set of features is provided that defines the work in the field of translation of this professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, and a pioneer of Portuguese language teaching in Spain. It is clear that, in spite of not having received an in-depth analysis so far, her translational activity cannot be considered at all of second importance when one takes into account her multifaceted intellectual trajectory.
