Abstract

Foul language is one of the most defining features of a culture. Although its presence is common in a large number of audio-visual works, studies dealing with the treatment it receives in translation are still relatively scarce. In this article we take as starting point the specific case of the movie Sausage Party with the objective of finding out the strategies followed to translate this type of language both in the dubbed versions for Spain and Latin American countries.
