Diarios gratuitos de información general: percepción, hábitos de consumo y preferencias de lectura de los universitarios vascos
Abstract
This article is the result of a research project conducted in the University of the Basque Country. The article’s aim is to analyze the journalism student’s perceptions towards the printed editions of the free newspapers. It tackles different characteristics as quality, consumer habits, favourite sections and the free newspapers complementarity with other media (mainstream press, radio, tv and Internet). The study was carried out in 2008 and 2009, a difficult moment for free of charge newspapers, due to the economic recession which forced these newspapers to close delegations, merge papers and, what is more, to close some of them, as occurred with Metro.Downloads
