Abstract
Precision journalism can be understand as a form of journalism based on the application of active techniques from social research; the research, treatment and rigorous analysis of facts; and also on the specialized art of professional journalism. The control of the scientific methods known from the social sciences and its possible application on information is the key of precision journalism. This article presents an historical approach with four important aspects: genesis, the internationalism and the journalistic success, its diffusion in the Hispanic and the academically world.Downloads
