Journalistic production of novelty and informative validity in the Iberian cybermedia
Abstract
This work studies the journalistic production of the novelty and the informative validity of the contents put in print by four Iberian cybermedia: two Portuguese ones, Publico.pt and Dn.pt, and two Spanish ones, Abc.es and Elpais.com, through content analysis from a quantitative and qualitative approach. The analysis sample consists of a total of 9,243 texts located on the homepage, current showcase of each cybermedia, in the last update of the day, published during a month. We conclude that Spanish cybermedia presents a novel offer greater than the Portuguese one and that all cybermedia put in print contents with validity greater than one day in a different proportion, with the consequent reduction of time and business economic cost, but in detriment to the interest of the public, which in the end is related to the consumption trend of digital press in each country.Downloads
