Abstract

The massive means of communication seek to influence permanently the topics that are priority for the hearings, hence it is necessary to study how they carry out strategies that allow them to determine the importance and relevancy of the information. From the theory of Framing, in the fields of identity of social movements, it is possible to identify and to reveal informative strategies of the mass media. This article analyzes the conformation and transformation of the fields of identity of the actors involved in the removal of state immunity from prosecution (desafuero) of the Mexico City's Chief of Government, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, for two Mexican newspapers: La Jornada and Reforma. Journalistic tools were used by those newspapers to influence the perception of their audiences, therefore they were not only information transmitters
