The Knowledge of the Triune God According to Isidore of Pelusium

Abstract

Isidore Pelusiote explains that the singular in the Bible, which is used for God, refers to all three Persons of God, which are consubstantial. Also, the plural refers to the hypostasis of the Triune God. Isidore underlines that the acquaintance with God requires a lot of spiritual maturity and wisdom. People's knowledge of Divine Being is similar to abyss, which has neither beginning nor end. The faith of people in the incarnate Word of God and in Him is revealed midst Triune God and helps the rational creature to climb to the sky and “talk” with God. Person is armed with the emblem of the true knowledge of God which is giving him the illumination of the Holy Spirit, makes him able to fight against those who are abusing the truth of the doctrines of the Church.
