Abstract
The aim of this article is to analyse and evaluate the "Art and the Built Environment" (ABE) project, which constitutes the very first experience of its kind in the environmental approach of the artistic education focused on the city. The context of the project is based on the socio-educative framework of Great Britain in the seventies. The main objectives, contents and methodology of the project are defined and the results assessed. Finally, after the changes experienced by the art education and the cities in the last decades, the influences of this project are presented in the framework of the global art education as well as the validity of the proposals from a contemporary point of view.Downloads
