Abstract

This paper presents de result of a research on the comprehension faculties of a group of subjects about a historical brazilian painting, and the didactical consequences of the evaluation of these understandings. The research was based on an educational approach which aims a critical comprehension of art, studied here as cultural phenomenon. From the interpretative qualitative methodological perspective, contexts and levels of analysis of different individuals comprehension forms about an artwork are settled
