Characteristics of educational quality assurance: A systematic mapping 2016-2020

Abstract

Quality assurance requires not only a technical but ethical and philosophical reflection. These principles make the different countries standards not the same according to each particular reality. This document aims at identifying the characteristics of the educational quality assurance processes. The systematic mapping method was used. There were considered 154 articles published from 2016 to 2020 in Scopus and Web of Science(WoS) data bases. Inclusion, exclusion, and quality criteria were applied to obtain the most relevant information. The results show the descriptive characteristics of the quality assurance processes as well as the main methodological approaches used, the areas of influence, the application contexts, and the topics addressed.

Jessica Alejandra Ruiz-Ramirez, Tecnológico de Monterrey

Jessica Alejandra Ruiz Ramirez actualmente estudia el Doctorado en Innovación Educativa en la Escuela de Humanidades y Educación del Tecnológico de Monterrey, en donde desarrolla investigaciones relacionadas al aseguramiento de la calidad educativa y gestión de procesos educativos.

Es Ingeniera Industrial con Maestría en Administración de negocios con énfasis en Calidad y Productividad. Cuenta con experiencia en desarrollos de productos y gestión de calidad en la industria autopartista, así como experiencia docente a nivel de pregrado, es investigadora asociada reconocida por el Departamento Administrativo de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Colombia - Colciencias.

Sus líneas de investigación son: competencias de investigación, gestión e innovación educativa y aseguramiento de calidad educativa.

Leonardo David Glasserman Morales, Tecnológico de Monterrey

Leonardo David Glasserman Morales es director de la Maestría en Emprendimiento Educativo y profesor-investigador en la Escuela de Humanidades y Educación del Tecnológico de Monterrey. Ha sido responsable técnico y colaborador en proyectos de investigación educativa financiados por el Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT) de México y el Fondo CITRIS-ITESM de la Universidad de California-Berkeley y el Tecnológico de Monterrey. Asesora tesis en el programa de Maestría en Tecnología Educativa y Doctorado en Innovación Educativa en el Tecnológico de Monterrey. Es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI-1), del Consejo Mexicano de Investigación Educativa (COMIE) y de la American Educational Research Association (AERA). Participa en proyectos de investigación en la línea de desarrollo y uso de la tecnología en educación.
