"Exvoto". Approach to José Antonio Ibáñez-Martín’s philosophical-educative thought

Abstract

José Antonio Ibáñez-Martín, a professor emeritus at the Complutense University of Madrid at present, is a fundamental marker in the history of education in Spain: being the first professor of Philosophy of Education, National Essay Awardee- among others- Director of the Revista Española de Pedagogía and the recepient of medal of Alfonso X, the Wise. More than 200 written texts that have served to configure a philosophical-educational thought that are perfectly identifiable can be added. This article, which moves in the field of hermeneutics and in the history of education, creates a systematic review of all his written texts to configure a map of ideas that caters internal coherence. It sets out from an interpretation scheme that deduces a philosophy of education, a conception of education itself and the politics of education from the anthropology deduced from the texts. The outcome is the narration of all the philosophical thought of the author.

David Luque (Madrid, 1984) es Doctor, con mención europea, por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. En la actualidad, desarrolla su labor académica en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, pertenece al grupo de investigación Cultura cívica y Políticas educativas de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y disfruta de una beca postdoctoral vinculada al Istituto Universitario Sophia (Valdarno, Fl; Italia). En reconocimiento a su carrera académica ha obtenido los Premios Extraordinarios de Licenciatura y de Doctorado, el Premio Complutense de Humanidades y el Primer Premio Nacional de Excelencia Académica.
