"Exvoto". Approach to José Antonio Ibáñez-Martín’s philosophical-educative thought
Abstract
José Antonio Ibáñez-Martín, a professor emeritus at the Complutense University of Madrid at present, is a fundamental marker in the history of education in Spain: being the first professor of Philosophy of Education, National Essay Awardee- among others- Director of the Revista Española de Pedagogía and the recepient of medal of Alfonso X, the Wise. More than 200 written texts that have served to configure a philosophical-educational thought that are perfectly identifiable can be added. This article, which moves in the field of hermeneutics and in the history of education, creates a systematic review of all his written texts to configure a map of ideas that caters internal coherence. It sets out from an interpretation scheme that deduces a philosophy of education, a conception of education itself and the politics of education from the anthropology deduced from the texts. The outcome is the narration of all the philosophical thought of the author.
