Retórica y cartas al director
Abstract
This article shows the reluctances the mass media and the scholars have with respect to the daily readers’ contributions and magazines. The letters to the editor, exclusively studied as an opinion genre, is the clearest evidence. Nevertheless, the reader has a fundamental role within the theory of journalism. In order to exemplify this, the article analyses the production in journalism from the point of view of the rhetoric and presents seven usual rhetorical resources in journalism. Out of these resources, three of them insist on the kind of contribution the readers make to the media: the rhetoric of the participation, the rhetoric of the dialogue and the rhetoric of the intervention.Downloads
