José Luis Castillo-Puche: con el viaje al hombro. Análisis de sus crónicas de viajes1
Abstract
Jose Luis Castillo-Puche and his journalistic work are both the main characters of this article. My aim is to show the Castillo-Puche journalist, to whom he was a journalists teacher and to the tireless traveler who believed in the trip as the best way of fleeing towards ahead. I have analyzed the chronicles of trips that Castillo-Puche wrote and I have stopped specially in those that he realized on the occasion of a trip to the American continent at the end of the decade of the 50’s, and later published in the diary Pueblo and written in a book that was called America de Cabo a Rabo. They are agile, sparkling, satirical and very stimulant chronicles for the reader; Castillo-Puche splashes continuously the texts with literary resources that denote his great knowledge of the language and his aptitude to express his own ideas. In his writings I observe a taste for the word and a genuineness that they are the key of a journalist formed as writer.Downloads
