Abstract

This study has centred on the journalistic current use of the information sources. After analyzing a sample of more than six thousand texts, the obtained information reflects a worrying situation: the mass media seem to have succumbed to the magic and to the rhetorical power of the information sources. The journalistic message, formally independent, is mortgaged by dark servitudes. Dark because the professionals of the information do not identify due to his sources; and servitudes, because the journalists spread a version of reality that, with great frequency, is only an interested version - and, therefore, it is necessary to deduce that deformed - of this reality.
