Being a journalist in Chihuahua: profession, trade, insecurity and self-perception
Abstract
The present investigation describes the working conditions of journalists from the State of Chihuahua, Mexico, according to their own perceptions. The theoretical perspective focuses the background of the topic by emphasizing the risk of practicing the profession. It uses a descriptive, non-experimental, transactional quantitative methodology and applies a questionnaire stratifying the main cities of the state. The results allow establishing that the journalists of the entity, in general, are satisfied with their working conditions although their salaries and benefits are below average.
