Analysis and typification of emerging formats in Spanish cyberjournalism: from multimedia adaptation to transmedia disruption
Abstract
Currently, the press sector is at a time of profound transformation, in which the set of digital newspapers are developing adaptation strategies to the growing multimedia, hypertextual and interactive environment. The objective of this article is to identify and typify the journalistic formats that are emerging in new media, now that companies and professionals are consolidating their priority commitment to the digital environment. To do so, we perform the review and analysis of the adaptation experience developed from the nine local press head offices of Grupo Joly, as well as the experiences of disruption posed by digital native media such as El Confidencial, The Objective and PlayGround. The results show the moment of explosion of creativity and innovation in the emerging formats of the recent Spanish cyberjournalism.
