Abstract

Radio has evolved and adapted to the evolution of journalism over the years. It has always been and will be the loyal medium for consumers, that which has been little affected by the arrival of television or internet. The world of possibilities that the global network offers to the radio medium leads the communication company to explore new ways of doing journalism.

This chapter discusses the phenomenon of podcasting and its present and future influences in radio journalism.

Although so far radio journalism has been synonymous with immediacy, podcasting brings more reflection and quality to informational content, more proven information, more analysis and more debate, without time and space limits.
