A new look at the treatment of the elderly in the media
Abstract
The group of older people has not received due attention from the communication ethics if we compare the ethical recommendations on media treatment that have emerged in recent years with other areas in which there has been a significant contribution of initiatives as a woman or childhood. This article proposes a series of guidelines regarding the correct media treatment of this issue in the media that serve as a guide for professionals, taking into account also the small number of recommendations that have appeared in recent years in relation to old age.
