The informative treatment of the EU in crisis (2011-2015): comparison between Germany and Spain
Abstract
This research is intended to analyze the information treatment received by the European Union during the crisis by the press of two Member States: Germany and Spain. We would like to know what are the most frequent journalistic formulas with this political subject. In order to achieve this purpose, we use not only media research, in which we have temporally and spatially limited the object of study, but also a theoretical foundation that shows the characteristics of EU journalism. This research on the press also seeks to clarify whether there are any differences between the information published on the EU by country. The EU is a political project that has direct relevance in the lives of citizens, hence the interest to know how press is playing its social role in European affairs.Downloads
