Climate Change seen from the internet: an assessment of its content and message
Abstract
Climate change (CC) is an environmental problem that is difficult to understand because of its complexity. Through this work the erroneous ideas existing in the educational bibliography will find and analyze whether these erroneous ideas have been motivated by the way in which the mass media show CC. For this we have analyzed the articles of the year 2017 in the six digital newspapers most consulted by internet users, as well as the most relevant videos of YouTube. An analysis has been carried out through an assessment sheet and a descriptive methodology has been followed. After analyzing the results, it has been verified that, despite a considerable decrease in errors on climate change in the digital press, some of them remained persisting. As for YouTube, the errors are very numerous and coincide with those identified in the bibliography.Downloads
