Abstract

This research presents the methodological criteria applied to the analysis of the political behavior of weekly newsletters from the jury of King Juan Carlos on November 22, 1975 until the first democratic elections on June 15, 1977. For this purpose, six weekly information magazines national policy under the Press Law of 1966. The selected weekly newspapers are Gaceta Ilustrada, Cambio 16, Doblón, Posible, Opinión and Interviú. First, the methodology adopted is based on previous experience of analyzing the behavior of the daily press in the same period and the consideration of the differences of the weekly press. Thus, the particularities of this methodological application are presented in each of the selected journals. Finally, we present an advance of the results obtained for the verification of this analysis for the characterization of the political behaviors of these magazines before the project of political reform and the electoral proposals of the political parties.
